Nga viti 1941 deri n\u00eb vitin 1979, Irani u sundua nga Mbreti Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, i njohur si Shah. Nga ana tjet\u00ebr, qeveria modernizoi me shpejt\u00ebsi industrin\u00eb, infrastruktur\u00ebn dhe shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb p\u00ebrgjat\u00eb vijave t\u00eb Per\u00ebndimit.<\/p>\n

Pavar\u00ebsisht mb\u00ebshtetjes s\u00eb jashtme, politika e brendshme u pllakos nga p\u00ebr\u00e7arje t\u00eb thella. Orientimi pro-per\u00ebndimor shkaktoi rezistenc\u00eb nga grupet komuniste dhe udh\u00ebheq\u00ebsit fetar\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Pas kthimit t\u00eb tij, shahu nisi nj\u00eb program ambicioz modernizimi me q\u00ebllim shnd\u00ebrrimin e Iranit n\u00eb nj\u00eb shtet modern t\u00eb bazuar n\u00eb modelin per\u00ebndimor.
