Discovering that your partner is having an affair can be devastating especially when you are only months away from your wedding day.<\/p>\n
A man who just had the same experience has taken to Reddit to Reddit to share the ordeal, explaining that his fianc\u00e9e blamed him for working long hours.<\/p>\n
He said that the reason he was working hard was to financially support her.<\/p>\nPexels<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\u201cYesterday I met my fianc\u00e9e at our wedding venue for our 4 month out meeting to finalize details,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe drove to the venue separately because she was leaving straight from work. Towards the end of the meeting she let me know her friend was dropping off her rental car and needed a ride home and asked if it would be ok.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said that he tried to call her for the next three hours but she didn\u2019t answer, making him very worried.<\/p>\n
\u201cI texted her friend and asked if she had made it to her ok,\u201d he went on. \u201cMy fianc\u00e9 ends up coming home and says sorry it took longer than expected she hung out with her friend for a bit before leaving.\u201d<\/p>\nPexels<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
However, her friend replied and said she had not seen his fianc\u00e9e that day.<\/p>\n
He then secretly checked her phone and found a call to an unknown number. When he confronted her, she simply avoided the topic.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought maybe I\u2019m crazy here I need to chill and sleep on it,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis morning I asked her to please see the text from her friend asking her to pick her up and I would apologize for questioning her the previous night. She said no.<\/p>\n
\u201cI said when I caught up to you yesterday on the way to the venue I saw you were on the phone who was that? She said oh that\u2019s the friend I picked up later on. That\u2019s when I knew for a fact she was lying.\u201d<\/p>\nPexels<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The mystery coworker is 20 years older than her with multiple children from a previous marriage.<\/p>\n
In an update post, the heartbroken man said that she blamed him for the affair, saying that if he wasn\u2019t working long hours it wouldn\u2019t have happened.<\/p>\n
Reddit users were quick to offer their advice, with one person writing: \u201cStandard cheater victim-blaming. Don\u2019t let her pin this on you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another wrote: \u201cSmall consolation I know, but better now than after the wedding. Better now than after potentially starting a family.\u201d<\/p>\n
