An American woman from Arkansas has made the shocking assertion that she is actually missing child Madeleine McCann.<\/p>\n

The woman is insisting she possesses \u2018DNA proof\u2019 to support her claim \u2013 however, her statements have been widely dismissed by experts and the public alike.<\/p>\n

Eugenea Collins, 22, recently launched an unusual social media campaign, alleging that she is the missing British child who vanished in 2007 while vacationing with her family in Praia da Luz, Portugal.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0DailyMail.com<\/a>, the blue-eyed, blonde-haired Collins explained that she started suspecting her true identity after watching Polish woman Julia Wandelt appear on Dr. Phil\u2019s talk show.<\/p>\n

Wandelt had previously made\u00a0similar claims<\/a>\u00a0about being Madeleine McCann but these have ultimately not even proven.<\/p>\n

Collins said she noticed resemblances between herself and images of the missing girl, which fueled her suspicions.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for me seeing her on the Dr. Phil show, I would\u2019ve never known. In a way, her stupidity actually helped me find my family,\u201d Collins remarked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw the age progressions, and it was like I was looking in a mirror. I just know I saw pictures of myself online, and it says I\u2019m missing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Collins was born on October 23, 2002, which places her close in age to Madeleine, who was born on May 12, 2003.<\/p>\n

She took an ancestry DNA test revealing she is 68 percent English and Northwestern European, which she believes supports her claim.<\/p>\n

However, she acknowledged that no direct DNA link to the McCann family has been found.<\/p>\n

Despite her assertions, Collins expressed frustration that Arkansas law enforcement has not taken her claims seriously.<\/p>\n

She also mentioned attempting to contact Operation Grange, the Metropolitan Police Department\u2019s unit dedicated to investigating the McCann case.<\/p>\n

Collins\u2019 claims have drawn skepticism from social media users and critics, who pointed out several inconsistencies.<\/p>\n

One of the most significant differences between Collins and Madeleine is the lack of the distinctive eye defect that Madeleine had.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot to be rude here, but your eye doesn\u2019t have that defect in it like she does,\u201d one commenter noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason I\u2019m not convinced is because I don\u2019t see the same spot on the eye in any photo,\u201d another person added.<\/p>\n

Addressing these criticisms, Collins argued that other differences, such as ear shape, could be explained by scars she has on her ears.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople keep saying something about [my] ears not being a match, but I have scars on mine,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever noticed them until they pointed out they were different. I had my boyfriend look at the back of them, and they have scars on them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adding to her claims, Collins also alleged that the man she was raised to believe was her father, Eugene Collins, closely resembles Christian Brueckner, a convicted pedophile and the\u00a0primary suspect in Madeleine\u2019s disappearance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw pictures of the suspect, and he looks like my biological father or who I\u2019ve been told is my biological father my whole life,\u201d she claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never had any relationship with this man whatsoever, and I was always told he was a little off in the head. When I first saw the photos of Christian Brueckner, I instantly recognized that man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brueckner, identified as a suspect in 2020, has been convicted of multiple unrelated crimes, including child sexual abuse and drug offenses.<\/p>\n

He is currently serving a prison sentence in Germany but is expected to be released later this year.<\/p>\n

Collins also criticized Wandelt, who was recently arrested for harassing the McCann family. Wandelt previously appeared on Dr. Phil in 2023, maintaining that she was Madeleine McCann until DNA tests disproved her claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just know that my mom is looking for me, and I always had this feeling of longing and loneliness my whole life, and I finally figured out why I felt that way,\u201d Collins said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEspecially after hearing that Julia stalker making her cry, saying she was her daughter. I heard that and it broke my heart because I\u2019m right here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wandelt\u2019s DNA results, analyzed by private investigator Dr. Fia Johansson, confirmed that she was fully Polish and had no connection to the McCann family.<\/p>\n

Johansson stated: \u201cAt first, she didn\u2019t want to believe the DNA results. She was saying, \u2018What if someone changed the results?\u2019 but I told her, \u2018Stop this now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
