Credit: Eric Lee \/ Getty Images.<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As President Trump hugged and kissed his wife -smiling and waving at onlookers &#8211; some viewers on social media weren\u2019t convinced the affection was mutual.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWouldn\u2019t sharing a kiss entail both to participate?\u201d one commenter asked, while another added: \u201cLook at her hands pushing him away.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s taking one for the team\u2026 not sure what team\u2026 but the team,\u201d another joked, with a fourth tweeting: &#8220;They both look uncomfortable and not credible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe instinctively pushes back, her body tensing as she tries to create distance,\u201d added another viewer. \u201cHer eyes dart away, deliberately avoiding his mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is disturbing. She either puts her hand where hers is or she puts it on the shoulder. And if she tries the shoulder. Her arm is in the picture. Lol yall are something else. Her smile tells me everything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another supporter tweeted: &#8220;Her smile looks real, she&#8217;s enjoying the moment. You all try so hard to see things that aren&#8217;t there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time public displays of affection between the Trumps have been closely scrutinized.<\/p>\n<p>After Trump\u2019s 2024 presidential election win, a congratulatory kiss attempt was met with a polite cheek turn from Melania.
